This is something every individual should understand. There are only 4 legal ways to earn income. In the left side, there is linear income . Where you trade time for money. Your 100% efforts are required to earn; where as in the right side, it's passive and exponential income . You leverage time to generate money. When you have job; position in company doesn't matter , you trade your time to earn your bread and butter. Your per hour income will depend on the complexity of your profile. Your income is inversely proportional to complexity. Common factor is; you are hired till you are required. As soon as you are not required employer can fire you . This is "E" quadrant . When you have your own shop or practice; apart from your job is in your hand rest everything is similar to jobbers . eg. linear income, 100% effort etc resulting limited income.
